Qualified Second Seed Runners
If you qualify for Second Seeding, please follow these instructions:

  1. Register for Bloomsday by the posted deadline. If you qualified for Second Seeding based on your 2007 Bloomsday time, you can order a Second Seed Singlet during online registration and pick it up on race weekend at the Second Seed desk (beginning in 2008 it's not necessary to purchase a Second Seed singlet to start in the Second Seed area).
  2. Pick up your official Bloomsday race number at Check-In on Friday, May 2 or Saturday, May 3.
  3. Go to the special Second Seeding desk at Check-In with your Bloomsday race number and proper identification.  Your qualifying time will be verified at the Second Seeding desk. We may need to exchange your number at this time.
  4. If you purchased a Second Seed singlet during online registration, you can pick it up at this time. If you'd like to purchase a singlet (beginning in 2008 this is not mandatory) pay a $12 fee to cover the cost.  You must have a brown number to start in the Second Seed area.  Availability and sizing of Second Seed singlets will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Warm-up Gear Drop-off and Post-Race Party
All Second Seed runners may check their warm-up gear at the start line.  Your gear will then be waiting for you at the Corporate Cup Post-Race Party.  Second Seed runners are encouraged to stay and enjoy free drinks, food, and massage.

Second Seeding for Out-of-Town Runners
Out-of-town runners who are unable to qualify for Elite Seeding or attend one of the Second Seeding qualifying races listed above, may be able to qualify for Second Seeding. To do so, bring copies of recent race results to the Second Seeding desk at Check-In on Friday, May 2 or Saturday, May 3.  Second Seeding is limited, but race officials will do their best to accommodate out-of-town runners.

If you have questions about Second Seeding, please contact Tom Fuchs.
