March 13 Entry Deadline for Printing Name on Bib
Spokane, WA — Bloomsday Race Officials announced the return of Jr. Bloomsday and the introduction of a new souvenir item sure to be a hit amongst dog lovers called Bloomsdog. An important March 13 deadline is also quickly approaching. Runners and walkers looking to add their name or nickname to their souvenir race bib must register by Saturday, March 13 to take advantage of this special custom bib.

Jr. Bloomsday returns in a virtual format for 2021. The entry fee is just $20 and open to kids ages 8 -14. Kids will run on their own in the month of April and earn prizes for the total number of days they run. Every day they complete a 10-minute run - - slow or fast - - gets them closer to earning great prizes from Sonic Drive-In, Ben & Jerry’s, and Papa Murphy’s, as well as the always popular Silverwood Theme Park ticket. This fitness program is a great way for parents to keep their children active while also rewarding them for goal achievement.
Registration is open now through March 29th and includes a Jr. Bloomsday t-shirt. Running calendars will be emailed to parents on March 31st. Prizes and the t-shirt will be mailed in late May.
Bloomsdog was inspired by all the runners and walkers in 2020 who completed their 12km virtual race with their pups. The question was asked: Don’t the dogs also deserve some race swag? You are doggone right they do! Bloomsdog is a souvenir race kit available for purchase when you register for Bloomsday. The kit includes a souvenir race bib, medal (oversize dog tag!), post-race snack, and a $1-off coupon for a Ben & Jerry’s doggie dessert. The price of the Bloomsdog kit is $15 (includes tax and shipping).
The 45th running of Bloomsday - - dubbed “Bloomsday Worldwide” for its surprise global popularity in 2020 - - will be run this spring as a virtual race. The cost to enter is $25 and if you register by March 13 your name or nickname will be printed on the front of your souvenir race bib. Bloomsday entrants can complete their 12k run or walk – from any location in the world – beginning Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 9. The always celebrated finisher shirt will be mailed to finishers.
