Lilac Bloomsday Run 2024 T-Shirt Design Contest is Open!
Spokane, WA – The Lilac Bloomsday Run is excited to announce the opening of the t-shirt design contest for the 48th running Bloomsday race, scheduled for May 5, 2024. Runners and artist alike are invited to participate in this exciting competition and vie for the chance to leave their artistic mark on one of the most coveted race souvenirs and a chance to win a $1,000 cash prize. The winning design will grace the official Bloomsday Finisher T-Shirt, sponsored by Washington Trust Bank- Member FDIC and worn by thousands of participants. All participants are encouraged to let their imagination run wild; captivating an illustration that exemplifies the spirit of Bloomsday. Designs must include:
- Lilac Bloomsday Run or Bloomsday
- Spokane, WA
- 2024
- Finisher
- Optional*: This year Bloomsday wants to extend an invitation to include a nod to the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Expo ’74. Artists are encouraged to include the colors and/or design elements from the Spokane Expo in their t-shirt design(s).

About Lilac Bloomsday Run:
The Lilac Bloomsday Association puts on an annual 12k walk/run. Founded in 1977 by Olympic runner Don Kardong. It started with 1,200 runners its first year and has since grown to facilitate an average of 40,000 people from all over the world. Participants range from walkers to recreational runners, to some of the top elite professional runners from around the nation and globe. Bloomsday is a Spokane signature community event and one of the largest timed road races in the world.
